Have you ever seen a race where the driver/rider was in someone else’s car, truck, etcetera, or on someone else’s motorcycle or horse? I haven’t. Imagine that. Whoever is in starting position number seven goes up to whoever is in starting position number two and asks to use their vehicle. What sense does that make? No one shows up to the Kentucky Derby on a MotoGP motorcycle. Completely different race.
So what race are you running and why are you looking at someone else’s vehicle, or where they are at and what they can or cannot do in their vehicle? More bluntly, why do we often times base what is possible in our lives by what we saw someone else do?
Albert Einstein was considered the smartest person in the world, why? If he did it, can’t someone surpass him now with the vast amount of resources we have now compared to when Albert was around. Albert Einstein was the smartest person in the world because most people have looked at him on a pedestal and said there can’t be anyone smarter than him because he was the smartest person ever. He is until he’s not because someone comes and surpasses him. It sounds crazy, but why? Why can’t someone surpass him? What is so different about him?
It’s the belief. Don’t look at Einstein’s race, his car and think that his is so much better than yours that you’ll never be able to do what he did. Find out what your vehicle can do. Find out what your dreams, your desires, and your aspirations can do. Don’t live your life based on what was possible for the majority of other people. They are not you, and you are not them. You are here for a purpose, so find out what it is. You have unmatched potential because you are literally one of a kind. Don’t worry about what it looked like for everyone else. A motorcycle, a sports car, and an off-road truck all have different capabilities. Don’t operate a motorcycle halfway because you saw that the off-road truck could not finish the race. Unleash the full potential of that motorcycle and see how far it takes you.
Don’t leave any gas in the tank and don’t leave any tread on the tire at the end of the race. Find out all that you are able to do. And don’t worry if it didn’t work out for someone else. Find out if you can do it if the desire is in your heart. Don’t lose the race because you saw someone else lose and you don’t even want to try. Find out for yourself what you can do.
